Between working full-time, playing mom, wife, sister, auntie, daughter and friend, blogging and pinterest, I've been slacking on the household chores. I'm determined to get caught up this weekend!

Weekend Recap
This was an interesting weekend. Bryan's hunting trip got cut short due to the weather, so we plans were shifted a bit to accomodate his presence. Not only that, but Easton had a nasty cold and kept us up all night cozied up most of the weekend.
Friday
Work
Pick up Easton fromGrandma's (hopefully get dinner out of it) switched to Aunt Coll's - I was in desperate need of some nephew love, so did a quick switcheroo and had dinner/family time at Aunt Coll's. Easton loved seeing his bff, cousin Zain.
Play with my baby boy
Do at least 2 loads of laundry
Clean, clean and more clean! I have to say I'm quite impressed with myself. After a long day of work, followed by dinner at Coll's and not getting home til 8pm and then putting Easton to bed, I still manged to changed the sheets on the bed, do 2 loads of laundry, deep cleaned 2.5 bathrooms, dust our bedroom, and windex the upstairs. Granted I didn't go to bed until 1am, I was determined to get it done!
Quality time with mom and Easton - Mom2Mom sales, running errands - we had a productive morning at Mom2Mom sales, but our quality time was cut short by Bryan's return and the UM vs. MSU game.
Watch Michigan vs. Michigan State - we took ourselves over to Ryan and Sarah's to watch the game with friends. Easton enjoyed seeing all his pseudo aunties and uncles.
Scrapbook/Pinterest project
Cider Mill - The sun was shining and the air was crisp, so we bundled up and went on our way. We figured there were only a few weekends left and they would likely only be colder, so we headed down the street to Erwins Orchard. Pumpkins, cider and donuts, oh my!
Meal plan/Grocery trip - after being up all night with a sick baby, I had no desire to meal plan, grocery shop, or even cook for that matter. Bryan and I took full advantage of naptime with a movie and a nap ourselves. I have a feeling the crockpot is going to be working overtime this week!
Brother-in-law's birthday dinner - we were sad to miss Uncle Jim's birthday dinner, but with Easton feeling/coughing the way he was, he didn't want to risk getting cousins Landon and Maddie sick. Hopefully we can see them soon to make it up to Uncle Jim.

Weekend Recap
Happy Monday! As much as I dread Mondays, I started off the day with this -- no complaining here!
I wasn't as producitve as I would have liked this weekend, but I was busy tending to a baby who wanted extra snuggles. We had Easton's 6 month check-up on Friday afternoon and he was feeling the effects over the weekend. Thankfully, the little guy is feeling much better and hopefully I can get to the 'reds' sooner than later.
Friday
Work 1/2 day
Easton's 6 months check-up
Thirty One party at a neighbors
Saturday
Help good friends/our new neighbors at their new house - our neighborhood welcomed a new family this weekend and it just so happens they are great friends of ours. Jen and I go way back -- we actually went to preschool together, and have been friends since I can remember! Not only do they have 2 little rascals, but Jen is pregnant, so I knew they could use extra hands moving in and getting settled. So, I loaded up the stroller with the pack n' play and diaper bag and walked on over, and it worked out perfectly with Easton's nap - little guy slept for nearly 3 hours while I helped them get settled.
Rick and Britt's wedding - Auntie Jessie is on babysitting duty and Easton can't wait! I was a little nervous leaving Easton for the night knowing he was feeling under the weather, but I knew Auntie Jessie would take great care of him and wouldn't mind lots of snuggles. Thanks Auntie Jessie for helping us out! And congrats BRICK!
Sunday
Fall photo shoot - despite Easton feeling under the weather, I think we got a couple good ones. Can't wait to see them. Thanks Lexi.
Spend the afternoon atUncle Jim and Aunt Katie's Nana and Papa Choo-Choo's
Meal plan/grocery shop
Easton's 6 month blog (I'll get to this soon - promise!)
Go for a run - 3 miles (Go me!)
Not only was it was it a great weekend, but it's an exciting week in Detroit -- The Lions are on Monday Night Football with the Tigers playing a matinee ALCS game....Tues/Wed/Thurs home Tiger ALCS games annnnd we finish off the week with a Wings home game on Thursday night. It's good to be us!

Weekend Planning
It's been a long, busy week over here -- between a crazy week at work, my 29th birthday (spent at work alllll day and night) and Easton's half birthday, Friday took a little longer to get here than I would have liked, but I'm not complaining -- it' here and it's going to be a gorgeous weekend. I can't wait to enjoy it!

Weekend Recap
Monday, already? So much for "Weekend Planning" motivation - I wasn't nearly as productive as I had hoped to be, but that didn't stop me from having a great weekend! Let's take a look....
Friday
Happy October!
Friday
- Work
- Hit up some garage sales on my way home
- Quick trip to the grocery store to pick up some things to get me through the weekend
- Laundry
- Relax - not really sure I have a good sense of what this word means! I put it on the 'to-do' list ever week but never seem to get there
- Make baby food - acorn squash and peaches, yum!
- Mom-to-Mom Sale with mom
- Spend the day with mom being productive and getting things done around the house -- it's much more fun doing stuff when you have someone to do it with :) More on this later....
- Quick trip to the grocery store for stuff to make for dinner - did this Friday instead
- Host October birthdays (mine and Jillybean's) dinner with the ladies -- no worries Tara, we'll toast to your birthday too! Great night with the ladies, as usual. And dinner was a hit! They've all requested the recipe so I'll be uploading that tonight.
- Errands with Easton -- got some great deals on clothes for my growing baby boy
- Meal plan
- Grocery shop
- Clean - a majority of this was done on Friday by the best mother in the world. Not only does she take awesome care of Easton, but she cleans and folds laundry too! :) :) :)
- Laundry - washed and sorted old and new clothes for Easton to pack away in tubs
- Spend quality time with Easton while something cooks in the crock pot waiting for Bryan to get home
My little hunter :)
Happy October!

Weekend Planning Blog Hop
Happy Opening Weekend!! Is anyone else a hunter's widow like me?? At least I have Easton to keep me company these days. :)
So, not publicizing my weekend plans for the past few weeks has made me realize I'm a lot less productive when nobody is expecting anything from me (except my husband, of course - which really doesn't make me all that motivated). I am much more productive when I know others arewatching reading and I have to show my results in the end. So here I am, back to weekend planning! Here's to hoping I'm productive. I'd like to have something to show for when Bryan returns from a weekend away.

Labor Day Weekend Recap
So once again, it's Wordless Wednesday, and I'm not Wordless. I'm a Wordless Wednesday failure. Not to mention, it's Wednesday, and I'm just recapping my weekend. I'm a Weekend Planning/Recap failure.
"I'd rather be a failure at something I love than a success at something I hate." -George Burns
Friday
Secretary of State to get a new driver's license - I hate that place!! Never a quick trip, but my license expires on my birthday so this was a must!
Work
Dinner and drinks with the ladies of Mallard Court :) - Newly named "The Real Housewives of Mallard Court". We had a blast. I am so lucky to have such awesome and fun neighbors.
Saturday
Perhaps a little garage saling - I didn't get much, but Jennie made out pretty good in the baby department. :)
Quick clean - I am so unmotivated to clean lately. I wish I could afford a cleaning lady!
Watch the Michigan game - Easton is ready!!
Dinner at Coll's with the family
Sunday
Family birthday party - Bryan ended up having to work, so it was just me and E.
Shopping at Howell Outlets - Carter's was having a 50% off sale so I treated Easton to a few new things for the fall/winter/holidays.
Meal plan/Grocery shop - It's a short , busy week so we'll make do with what's in the house.
Relax with my boys :) - Never happens -- I should know better than to plan on it happening.
Bonfire with the neighbors
Monday
Cedar Point plans (with the girls) are in the works!! - Highlight of my weekend. Nice little day with Jillybean and we had a BLAST! And the best news is that Bryan survived 12+ hours of daddy duty!!! :)

Weekend Recap
So, I failed to plan the weekend -- not really, I just failed to blog about it. I had big plans for this weekend and big plans were accomplished.
Friday
Took the day off work :) Trees were scheduled to be delivered and installed and someone needed to be home to delegate where they went, etc.
Cleaned the house -- thanks to mom for her help and motivation
Costco run - the most expensive one ever, at that! Ended up buying 2 new chairs for the living room and am super happy with thm
Surprise 30th birthday party for a family friend
Saturday
Yardwork -- and lots of it! We had to make some final touches to the patio, plus 8 trees were planted at our house on Friday afternoon/Saturday morning, which meant 8 trees needed some major TLC
Continue working on project for Easton's room
Dinner at mom and dad's
Sunday
More yardwork - clean up around trees, weed, mulch
Trip to Angelo's and Home Depot
More yardwork
Family walk
Make dinner
Meal Plan - see side panel
Enjoy a glass of wine on the newly finished patio, finallllly!

Weekend Recap
Monday already? *yawn* I really need to learn to go to bed earlier on Sunday nights because Monday mornings just comes way to fast! Here's a quick recap of what our weekend consisted of. (green - done, red - not done, blue - added to list)
Friday:
Work
Go to the nursery and finalize our tree order - this got done on Saturday morning instead
Hopefully squeeze in a pedi - a much needed one to say the least!
Pick up Easton and have dinner at my parents
Saturday:
Prepare snacks and pack for tailgate
Pack Easton (& Cooper) for sleepover at Grandma and Papa's
Go to the nursery and finalize our tree order
Drop off the boys
Tailgate and Kenny Chesney concert!!!
Sunday:
Sleep in! - 8:30am is considered sleeping in when you have a baby, but not sure it counts as sleeping in when you don't go to bed til 3am :/
Go pick up Easton and Coop
Spend some time at my parents and work on a project for Easton's room
Meal plan/grocery shop - meal planning is a little challenging these days, as Bryan has a new job and wacky schedule so it's hard to know whether or not he'll be around for dinner -- therefore, meal planning will consist of things that we can eat on our own. This week I'll be trying to use up some stuff we have in the house.
Change sheets
Go for a walk
Hula-Hoop - this is my newest form of exercise :)
Blog 4 month update
Here's what's cookin' this week:
Sunday: Chinese
Monday: Leftovers and salad
Tuesday: Brats and orzo salad
Wednesday: Chili and salad
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Party
Saturday: Chicken a-la something
Here are a few snapshots from our day of kid-free fun!

Weekend Recap
Seriously, where do the weekends go? I think the fact that I'm always so busy doesn't help. Time just seems to fly! Here's a recap of our weekend. (green = done, red = not done, blue = added to list)
Friday:
* Birthday/engagement celebration for a family friend
* Sleepover with my nephew, Cash - sooo fun!
Saturday:
* Milford Memories with my mom - Coll and the boys and Dad tagged along. It was fun, until the rain came pouring down.
* Wedding shower for Britt
* Beer tent at Milford Memories - Easton with be with Grandma and Papa :)
Sunday:
* Breast Cancer 3-Day cheering station to see Auntie Jessie
* Out to breakfast with Meghan and Sarah, and of course Easton
* Go to the nursery to pick out and order trees - nursery closed on Sundays
* Create a daily cleaning schedule - starting with today!
* Meal plan for the week/grocery shop
* Squeeze in a walk - played with the neighbors instead
* Wash and prepare bottles for daycare on Monday
A pretty successful weekend if you ask me. I really need to step it up with my cleaning though. Here's to hoping I can get my new cleaning schedule underway. My goal is to divvy up the housework so that I do a little big each day throughout the week and that will make my weekends much more enjoyable. Here is what I'm thinking -- fingers crossed I can at least have a successful first week!
Monday:
vacuum hardwood floors and wipe down kitchen counters
Tuesday:
clean half bath, vacuum and dust den, and living room
Wednesday:
dust and vacuum office, guest bedroom, Easton's room and master bedroom
Thursday:
clean Easton's bathroom and master bath
Did I forget anything?
Sticking to my meal plan will be another challenge. I've made a meal plan before, and following is where I always fail. It's not that I don't have the ingredients, it's just that something else always seems easier, quicker, etc. But this weeks meal plan looks delicious and I really hope I can stick it out.
What's on the Menu:
Sunday: Miscellaneous - Bryan went golfing so we did our own thing
Monday: Jalapeno Chicken
Tuesday: Shepherds Pie
Wednesday: Couscous Stuffed Peppers
Thursday: Balsamic Chicken
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: snacks for Kenny Chesney - Salsa Wraps and Fiesta Orzo Salad??
A couple photos from the weekend:
Have a great week!!!

Weekend Recap
The weekend just goes by way too fast! :( Here's a quick recap of what we accomplished.
(green = done, red = not done, blue = added to list)
Friday:
* Attend the funeral of a college friend who passed unexpectedly :(
* Lunch and reminiscing with a great group of college friends
* Out to dinner with the girls for one of my best friend's birthday
Saturday:
* Go for a walk
* Run the vacuum throughout the house - I didn't make it very far -- just the foyer :(
* Buy a hula-hoop -I submitted my order!
* Engagement party for one of Bryan's best friends
* weed, preen and dead-head flowers
* Easton's 4 month photos
Sunday:
* Do at least 1 load of laundry - thanks hubby!
* Change sheets on beds - actually did this on Saturday
* Meal plan for the week - here's to hoping I can follow thru with it
* Squeeze in a walk
* Attempt to make another batch of baby food for the freezer - carrots, yay!!!
* Wash and prepare bottles for daycare on Monday - as of 10:45pm on Sunday, I have yet to do this, but bottles are washed and the milk is in the fridge ready to go and it will definitely be done by 8am tomorrow so that's all that matters
* A quick visit with grandma and papa
* A little family nap :)
I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with all the green, and even some blue!! I hope you had a great weekend, too. And here's to hoping this week flies by!!! A quick peek at our 4 month photos to tide you over until I get caught up on my monthly recaps.
